Castellon is know as the second province with more number of mountains in Spain. Yes, we have mountains, and pretty high if we think about the proximity of the coast. There are up to 8 natural parcs in the province of Castellon which some of them are situated in the highlands. The highlands (known as Maestrazgo) also hides history and heritage, where castles, medieval villages and nature meet together.

It’s located in the Western part of the Highlands. Hotels are spread throughout the city and there’s a huge spa that a multitude of people frequent through the year. A few meters from the center there are various places to go for a dip in the river. There’s a nice, lit path headed there from the center of town. The Fuente de los Banos is one of the most famous springs. The quality of the water emanated from the inside of the mountain is indicated at various points with a tempretaure of 40 degrees.
